Sudoku Dawn is a free Sudoku website built around a readable board, straightforward controls and room to concentrate. Open a puzzle, make a few moves, and return when you have time. No account is needed.

A choice of challenge.

Classic play offers four levels rated against the techniques supported by our solver. The daily challenge gives everyone using the same local calendar date the same board, with an archive starting on 1 January 2026. Each generated puzzle has one solution.

Notes and progressive hints help you work through a move. Focus mode, dark appearance, optional number-first entry and a timer you can hide let you adjust the way you play. The hint coach currently explains singles; an answer reveal is clearly identified when an explanation is unavailable.

Games, preferences and player statistics save on your device in this browser. There are no accounts or cloud saves. Clearing website data or changing browsers can mean starting again. The Privacy page explains browser storage and any services configured for the website.

This is an early version of Sudoku Dawn. Its focus is reliable, comfortable play and useful explanations. All current puzzles and game features are free to use.
